MOCO + Zapier

Zapier acts as an intermediary between web apps. Users create so-called "Zaps". A Zap consists of a "Trigger" and an "Action". The Trigger is an event in App A and the prerequisite for triggering an action (Action) in App B. Creativity has almost no limits:

1. Activate the connection in the settings under "Extensions" > "Zapier"
2. Create an account with Zapier – and use the API key received from MOCO for the setup

In MOCO, you currently cannot find the corresponding contact by entering a phone number.

With Zapier, you can create a workaround. Here's an example with MOCO+Teams:

1. Create a new channel e.g. "phonebook" in Teams

2. Use the Trigger for Teams New Message Posted to Channel

3. Search via MOCO Find Contact

4. Write the result back into the same channel using the MS Teams Action Send Channel Message

New Time Entry (New Activity)
→ Collect time entries daily and send them to the team leader by email.

New Payment for Outgoing Invoice (New Invoice Payment)
→ Record payment in MOCO (manually or via CAMT bank statement upload) and follow up payment reconciliation in other systems.

New Comment (New Comment)
→ Direct comments in MOCO to a central messaging tool (e.g., Slack) and don't miss anything.

New Holiday Request (New Holiday Request)
→ Record holiday request in MOCO and inform centrally (Slack, Email, SMS, etc.)

New Additional Service (New Expense)
→ Record additional service in MOCO and let Google Spreadsheet be filled with these entries.

New Outgoing Invoice (New Purchase)
→ Record expenses in MOCO and inform centrally or have them recorded in another system.

New Company (New Company)
→ Record companies in MOCO and update master data in other systems.
Alternative to "New Customer" - also delivers other companies and suppliers (type is provided).

Invoice marked as paid
→ Send a thank you email via Mailchimp.

→ Select Trigger "Updated Planning Entry" → Add "Find User" search with the "user_id" from the "Updated Planning Entry"  →  Action "Email by Zapier" (or Slack etc.) and insert the email from the user search.

Create Purchase/Incoming Invoice (Create Purchase)
→ Send incoming invoices by email to MOCO and let them be pre-recorded. 

Create Payment for Outgoing Invoice (Create Invoice Payment)
→ Record payment in accounting system or banking in MOCO. 

Create Project (Create Project)
→ Record project in your PM tool (Asana, Trello, etc.) and have it created in MOCO.

Create Comment for Project, Lead, Invoice, Company, and Contact (Create Comment)
→ Forward emails to MOCO and add them to projects, leads, and contacts.

Create Additional Service (Create Expense)
→ Forward a new expense by email to MOCO and have it recorded as an additional service.

Pricing
Signing up for Zapier is free. For higher demands and more complex Zaps, a premium plan can be chosen.

Zapier is useful for automation and workflows, but not for complex integrations that require flawless synchronization. In this case, Make or the MOCO API is certainly the better choice.
