Benefits of the Integration
Time tracking without switching software
Times recorded in GitLab can be captured for issues and merge requests. Switching to MOCO is no longer necessary, which can improve efficiency by reducing context switching.

Note on permissions/data protection
Since the MOCO browser extension needs to integrate into various pages for the integration, certain permissions are necessary. We only read the times entered in MOCO and send only the information necessary for creating the time entries to MOCO. We do not collect or use any other data. For transparency, we have published the code from the beginning: https://github.com/hundertzehn/mocoapp-browser-extension
Self-hosted GitLab can be adjusted as an endpoint in the extension settings. The extension itself is open source, so it could alternatively be built by yourself.
